Orthogonal systems in L spaces of a vector measure
Abstract: Let m : Σ → X be a Banach space valued countably additive vector measure. In this paper we present a procedure to construct an m -orthogonal system in the space L(m) of square integrable functions with respect to m . If the vector measure is constructed from a family of indeterminate scalar measures, it is possible to obtain a family of polynomials that is orthogonal with respect to t...
متن کاملContractive gauge functions in strongly orthogonal metric spaces
Existence of fixed point in orthogonal metric spaces has been initiated recently by Eshaghi and et al. [On orthogonal sets and Banach fixed Point theorem, Fixed Point Theory, in press]. In this paper, we introduce the notion of the strongly orthogonal sets and prove a genuine generalization of Banach' fixed point theorem and Walter's theorem. Also, we give an example showing that our main theor...
متن کاملGribov Copies in Lattice QCD
We have performed an exhaustive search for Gribov copies on the lattice and their possible dependence from finite temperature effects. We show that, for each value of lattice size, Gribov copies are dense in configuration space at low temperature but their density tend to lower when the temperature increases. We have investigated lattice sizes running from 163 × 8 to 164. Gribov [1] has shown t...
متن کاملA Class of Orthogonal Sequences
This paper presents a class of random orthogonal sequences associated with the number theoretic Hilbert transform. We present a constructive procedure for finding the random sequences for different modulus values. These random sequences have autocorrelation function that is zero everywhere excepting at the origin. These sequences may be used as keys and in other cryptography applications.
متن کاملThe lattice copies of ∞ ( ) / c 0 ( ) in
Let E be a Dedekind σ -complete Banach lattice, let Ea denote the order continuous part of E, and suppose that Ea is order dense in E. If E contains a lattice copy of ∞ (equivalently, E = Ea) then E/Ea contains a lattice copy of ∞/c0, and hence a lattice-isometric copy of ∞. This is one of the consequences of more general results presented in this paper.
